Ozone Therapy
Revitalize with Ozone: Harnessing Nature's Healing Power
Ozone therapy involves administration of Ozone gas into the body for therapeutic purposes. Ozone cannot be given through the nose like oxygen because it is a highly toxic gas. Hence, it is adminstered via skin, ears, rectum, vagina or blood.

Ozone therapy can be used as an adjuvant treatment in circulatory disorders, auto-immune conditions, metabolic disorders, wound healing, digestive disorders, geriatric conditions and cancer.
Ozone therapy involves the administration of ozone gas into the body for therapeutic purposes. Ozone cannot be given through the nose like oxygen because its highly toxic as a gas. Hence, it is administered via blood, rectum, vagina, ear, or skin.
Many scientific papers have been published over the years that have confirmed the safety, efficacy and simplicity of ozone therapy. Below is the summary of its effects on our body:

-
It gives more oxygen to red blood cells and increases glucose uptake
-
It makes tissue cell membranes more elastic, pliable and healthy
-
It helps cells absorb nutrition and eliminate waste more efficiently
-
It primes the white blood cells and improves the immune system
-
It can destroy viruses, bacteria and fungi
-
It neutralizes free radicals and contributes to anti-aging
-
Increases energy level by optimizing ATP generation

How is ozone treatment administered
For chronic conditions, it requires minimum 8-10 sessions to see any discernable benefits. Post that, maintenance can be given once a week, once a month or once in 3 months depending on the condition.

Routes of Ozone administration

BOTO (breathing ozone through oil)
Ozone is bubbled through oil and then nasally inhaled. This method is beneficial for upper respiratory tract infections, allergies, asthma.

Ear insufflation
Ozone gas is administered through the ears. This can be done only if the ear drum is intact. Ear has direct connection to the brain and hence all brain-related disorders can benefit through this method. It can be used in stroke (post-stroke effects), dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, upper respiratory tract infections, hearing-loss, tinnitus, chronic otitis media.
Skin
The affected skin is covered with an ozone resistant bag, and Ozone gas is then pumped into the bag. Through local effect, skin administration can be beneficial in conditions like psoriasis, dry eczema, non-healing ulcers, dandruff, hair fall, lichen planus etc.
Rectal insufflation
Ozone gas administered into the rectum via a thin tube. Through the rectum, it passes to the large intestine, portal circulation, liver and spleen. Rectal route is the best method to administer ozone because it causes a systemic effect rather than just local effect. Every condition can benefit from rectal Ozone insufflation.
Injections
Ozone can be injected intramuscular, sub-cutaneous, peri-articular (around the affected joints) or intra-articular (inside the affected joint). Conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, tendonitis, can benefit from ozone injections.
Auto-hemotherapy
This is an elaborate procedure in which blood is drawn from the individual and then mixed with ozone and then transfused back to the same individual.
